70 Years of Combined Experience

At Physio Partners we have over 70 years of combined experience in these disciplines:

Counsellor listening attentively with his body leant forward and head tilted, showing empathy and concern while listening to the patient who is out of focus in the foreground

Counselling

A type of mental-health professional, counsellors work with people to overcome difficulties in life, such as health, relationship or financial problems, or when dealing with grief and loss. By listening and supporting you in a non-judgemental way, they help you to problem-solve by clarifying issues and exploring options.

Counselling gives you new insights into a situation and helps you with resilience and motivation.

Exercise Physiology

Accredited Exercise Physiologists design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for clients with diabetes, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, cancer, kidney or musculoskeletal conditions.

After assessments, exercise sessions and reviews, clients learn their individualised exercise programs and know what exercise is effective and safe for their particular medical background.

Exercise physiologists utilise specific forms of exercise, education and lifestyle intervention to help improve functional capacity, endurance, strength, flexibility, balance, mental health and sleep - with considerations of clinical status.

Exercise physiologists liaise with doctors and other allied health professionals to provide holistic care to clients.

Myotherapy

Myotherapy is a specialised form of manual therapy that targets musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves assessment, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal injuries and chronic conditions.

Myotherapists utilise techniques such as trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and stretching to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance muscle function.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy (also known as ‘physical therapy’ in North America) is movement, muscle and other forms of physical treatment for each and every area of your body and mind.

Doctors and surgeons use medicine and anatomical corrections to help you get better.  Physiotherapists use physical modalities which include exercise prescription, movement, manual therapy, education and motivation to help you achieve the rest!  Physiotherapists can also independently diagnose musculoskeletal problems in your body.

Communication

Our team understands that we can not manage every aspect of your health care. With your permission, we will always communicate and inform your GP, case managers and support workers with reports and summaries so your key healthcare team members are aware of your health progress. Most importantly, we will provide you with the information also!

I wanted to provide some positive feedback about how invaluable the service has been for my father (and mother).  Mark was an absolute gem of a human and was able to pick up dad 3 days post discharge and commence his therapy via telehealth (as local services had a wait list).  This not only increased my father’s confidence, but the relationship my parents have build with Mark and the rest of the team has permitted him to return to some level of normality sooner rather than later.  He has made incredible gains and his goal of going overseas next week is now a reality thanks to the hard work of Mark and the team.  The zero wait list strategy they have implemented is incredible and I cannot thank them enough for all their help with my father.  My mother has also found the service to be very informative and given her the confidence to manage the ups and downs in his recovery.

Without their help, he definitely would not be able to make it overseas next week for his 40-year university reunion which he has been planning for well over a year.  I wanted to take the time to feed this back as the team have been nothing but wonderful and deserve to be recognised for their skill, expertise and service.
